If it's not got a remappable ecu then all you need is a dyno run and some advice. The link above is Teg Sport where I do a lot of mapping, so you're welcome to give me a call and I can sort you out a rr run, (3 runs), for £50 and then we can chat about how it's running.

take it to somwhere like scooby clinic. they were doing rolling road for 30 pound not long ago. they would prob set up your controller for a reasonable price too. what you have been quoted sounds a bit much.
i paid 25 for my last rolling road as part of a club day.

Scoobyclinic and affordable should never be used in the same post.

Standard power runs shouldn't cost more than £45 including graphs and some advice. Plus if you post your graphs and current spec I'm sure mappers on here could advise you.

Care to elaborate Chris? Unsubstantiated comments like yours don't help unless you explain why YOU think we are unaffordable.

Our labour rate is £39.99 +vat per hour

I have no problem with the service you offer I just think it's not the cheapest.

Before I got my simtek I called to ask if my car could be put on the dyno for some diagnostic testing and was quoted £75+VAT. I mentioned that I wasn't 100% if it was EcuTek'd or not and was told that once you'd connected to the ECU, regardless of whether you did anything or not, if it turned out that it didn't have an EcuTek license I'd be charged £200+VAT.

To me that seems rather harsh when you could just disconnect your cables if the EcuTek license wasn't present. Specifically asked if that would happen and was told 'NO', once you have connected it has to have EcuTek on it.

Called a couple of other places who said it was no problem. If it turned out that there wasn't a license I could just have some dyno runs and choose to buy the license if wanted.

Over the past 6 weeks I've spent well in excess of £2000 having parts supplied and fit by a Subaru specialist at the rate of £25+VAT per hour.

As I said I have no problem with the service you offer or the parts you sell but I usually buy the parts from the person who is fitting them. I will most likely be in touch about one of the billet turbos in a couple of months but at £39.99+VAT per hour I'll be having it fit elsewhere.

That's a great rate that.

A lot of the other Subaru specialists charge IRO £45-50 +VAT. As said, SC's is a good rate.

But the place you had work done for £25 +VAT is mental! Do they actually earn any profits?

Chris I must apologize, when I spoke to you I was under the impression that when we plugged into your car with the ECUTEK software it would automatically swallow a licence if the car had not already be ECUTEK'd.

I have since been shown the error of my ways (with a big stick!) and now know this is not the case!

Sorry for giving you misinformation

I now understand why you made the comments above but having said that I do still feel our labour rate of £39.99+vat per our is amongst the cheapest out there and is affordable.

Again so sorry for any confusion.
