Default PPP Fuel Pump

Hi,

Im getting a larger turbo, pink injectors fitted on my blob eye very soon. I have the ppp which I thought included an uprated fuel pump. Is this up to the job with the mods I have listed or will I still need to upgrade this to be on the safe side. I know they are quite cheap anyway but dont want to spend money if I dont have to.

Or perhaps the ppp doesnt come with an uprated fuel pump and Im talking out of my *** again.

Cheers

my ppp on my sti prodrive has the pump fitted as the sales invoice of the ppp had it listed along with the part no 44S/T5/001

however the pump will have been in there a while so prob better fitting a new one for peace of mind.

either that or maybe subaru can tell you what was fitted as im sure they log all the ppp cars

Thats probably a good idea. Current one has been on there for 4 years now.

A fuel pump failure can be very costly cant it.

Isn't it the Walbro 255 pump that comes with PPP? That's what I've got on my STi Spec D(running around 350BHP+, not had it dyno'd ) I have no issues with mine.

i think youre right , it is a walbro 255 thats supplied in the ppp kits.

i think the ops just unsure whether he has had it fitted or not with his ppp, and as he's carrying out some upgrades its been suggested that he fits one just for peace of mind.

ive got the origional ppp walbro fitted in my 02 sti , and its also still going strong, however im about to carry out some upgrades also , and will be replacing the pump .

for the sake of 70 quid anyway

Cheers chaps. Like you say its probably for the best if I get it changed. All these mods are for my visit to the ring later on in the year. Dont want it failing out there.

PPP on WRX does NOT include the fuel pump.
It is worth investing in a new one.
It is also worthwhile fitting a decatted up pipe to the Blob WRX .
With a VF35 and the mods you mention, together with decatted up pipe, expect 320/ 320 bhp with the WRX intercooler

You are correct. Just found the ppp pdf on the prodrive website. No mention of it.
