Oe crank pully rubbing
Hey peeps
Just installed a engine on a classic, when I first started her up everything was fine after the 4th start up there was a high pitch noise comin from the front .. After speaking To a few people I noticed that the noise was the bottom of the crank pulley rubbing against the cambelt cover..
I've removed the 2 outta wings to the cambelt cover and all seems fine but cannot b sure whats goin on behind the crank pulley as I don't have the correct tool ...
There is no movement on the crank pulley .. So just wondering if It could be warping to the cambelt casing or maybe somthing behind it ..
Any1 else had this problem I've googled it for a few hours and checked the search button but cannot seem to find much

Hi john
Well i managed to get the crank pulley off this mornin as u said in 5th handbrake on .. Tbh I've got two engines 1 in 1 out and took both crank wheels off in about 5 min, the cambelt + wheels look in good order so must just be the casing warping .. The same thing seems to have happen to my other engine aswell as u can c the marks on it from the wheel , thanks 4 the tip gonna see what I can find to mold it back :-)

As said most plastic items if warped will return to their original shape if you heat them up just below their melting point, then cool with water to set it to the new shape.
