hi guys i am new to this site and need some help,just bought a impreza wrx and the car was running and driving great,but when i put some petrol in as it was empty,the car started to hold back and sort of judder,like it was starved of fuel.could it be because i put different petrol in from what the guy was using,as he was useing shell,but i had to go to some cheap petrol station before i ran out.any help.thanks ste

 

Has the car been modified? Did you put normal unleaded or super unleaded? If you did not put a lot in then fill up with either shell v-power or tesco momentum. If you filled it get a couple of named brand octane booster and put them in. Millers, NOS or STP are ones you can get easily and are of a known quality easiest place to get them will probably be Halfords.

 

put just normal unleaded in as that was all that was available,the car was running fine till i put the different fuel in,and the guy said he was running it on shell high octane,
