EJ20 Long block ?

Hi guys i am breaking my 1995 WRX import and have been asked if my engine is a EJ20 Long block, now sorry for the stupid question, what is a long block ? and would my car have a long block fitted ?

It just means that the engine comes with the heads and ancillarys fitted as opposed to a short motor which is just the bottom end minus the heads etc.
