Does anyone have any feedback as to the best silicon inlet hose to suit a sc 46 or a md321t in the smaller 58 mm inlet .

ive heard of perrin and samco , which is the best

Best will be Hard Inlet pipe, because don't collapse under boost, some silicone hoses just collapse under boost.

is the samco and perrin silicon ones really that bad for collapsing ?

Yes have poor fitments, because people have TGV delete and if you have Spec C,JDM STi V8 inlet manifold which is TGV free, will fit much better. But you can create own for less than from aluminium(think Engine Tuner selling own and which have good fitment)

Why Samco or Perrin collapse, this don't know but i've seen few(SC50,SC54 or MD321V) but on high boost.
But with SC46 or MD321T will be maybe OK,but not sure.

I had a inlet pipe made out of some alloy pipework; try a local exhaust fabricator, it only cost me £40

started with 56mm tube from the turbo stepping up to 76mm and then onto 90mm IIRC...

Lateral performance do some silicon hoses reinforced with wire. They don't have the flanges for dump valve and breather too.

+ 1 . Mine is fine.

I've seen a few Samco ones cave in on the rollers.
