Default engine flush :S

hi, im going to be servicing my car soon, when i drop all the oil out of it is it worth using one of those engine flush things which clear all the old oil out etc and lubricates things etc.. or does it **** your engine up you never know right just dont want to put some stuff in the engine which will bugger it?

i wouldnt put an engine flush through a car unless you knew its history. putting a flush into a 10yr old car can cause more hassle than worth if its never been flushed before

the issue is sludge, if the sludge is particulary heavy & the flush cant fully break it up enough then it just sticks in other places like oilways etc

I wouldn't use flush, you could do 2 oil changes close to each other which would help clean the engine but is a bit costly

thanks for the guidance. phew! just before i was gunna go out and buy some stuff and perhaps fudge my engine up!
