hi ive got a standard bugeye wrx wagon, today at idle car became very lumpy, looking inside engine bay found that there was a hole on the side of the dump valve close to the vacum hose, its about 6mm in diameter and looks like it had been drilled and an attempt made to seal it with some kind of sealent! anyone know why a previous owner might of made such a hole? any thoughts as im baffled to why it would of been drilled

sounds like at some point someone has tried to make it a vta dump valve thinking by drilling a hole would give them the woosh,only thing i can think of.
