Default HKS Blow off valve

Hi guys I really like these but have a question, my car has been remapped to around 300bhp and i hear putting these on can effect the way the cars runs - fuelling etc. Does that happen on all cars? Will I need a remap if i get one or just a case of fit it and wait and see? (2001 UK WRX bugeye)

If anyone has one by the way im after one (obviously!) Cheers

The way i understand it, as it was sort of explained to me before but was half listening....

Something "ecu" or other part meters the air to be fed to the cylinders, when a BOV is fitted and it "dumps" the mentioned air but the ecu or whatever doesnt measure it leaving, as far as its concerned the air has been measured through. Thus starving the engine of air as it were, which results in it running lean or rich (my mechanic skills are top notch as you can tell)

Im not too sure how it would work by having it remapped after being fitted. Whether or not this problem could be avoided.

I am interested in finding the correct answer as i am partial to having a Bov valve fitted, cant resist the noise
