Hi!

Can anyone tell me how this (speedometer-)part is called in English?

Is this part used in RHD and LHD cars?

Cheers,
Andy

Andy,

Subaru call this particular part a Speed Sensor... It is the same part used in all manual gearboxes fitted to the LH & RH drive versions of the Impreza built between 1998 & 2008.

It was also fitted to the manual gearboxes in the Legacy built between 1998 & 2003 + the Forester from 1998 till 2008

Subaru's current part number for this is 85082AE000

Hope this helps
Phil

Hi Phil!

That was detailed, thanks.

But does this mean i will need an other speed sensor than the "85082AE000" as my car is an early '98 (MY97/98)?

Are there different speed sensors from '93 to early '98?

Cheers,
Andy

Andy,

If you supply me with your chassis number, I will look up which part you need.

Andy,

Thanks for the PM

Your car is a 98 model built in Febuary, so the part you need is 85082AC012
