Took engine out to change the clutch.. now it wont start. i have spark, fuel is good, it was fine befoe i took it out.. all wires are connected. it shows one fault code which is. Idle air control solenoid.. it back fires and does'nt want to start. would this be the problem? it ran perfect before i change the clutch.. it seems like the plugs are on the wrong way round but there not. any ideas

All i can suggest is systematically check every connection is good. Not sure if connectors could be put on wrongly. You could also disconnect the knock sensor, if this gets the car running you may have a problem from when you fitted the clutch. Doubt cambelt would have slipped changing the clutch but I have known stranger things.
