Default Avcs heads on simtek

Hi , iv been toyin with the idea of avcs heads on my type r now for a while and could use some info. The car is a phase 4.5 and has forged 2l fmic etc and simtek ecu. Wat i need to know is weather the simtek can be wired to control the avcs solinoids? Also which type of head would be my best bet? As far as i can tell itd be the "big port heads" from a jdm spec c. Is this the only model that came with said heads? Thanks

I thought it was if I'm honest - I have AVCS running on Syvecs but I thought Simtek was an option - Give Simon (JGM) a text or email.

Steve Simpson does actually have this working on the Simtek for the classic but I havent seen it or seen how it works yet / what wiring is required.

Syvecs is a great option though as the complete flexibility of that ecu is amazing

Definately possible! Seen them mod the Simteks for it. Not sure on which ones or how much, contact Steve Simpson on 07836635001. You'll need to send your ECU back to them to get it added but I'm pretty sure it's do-able on them all.

We can mod any "Classic ECU" to drive AVCS heads. Have done a few now including the Inlet and Exhaust controlled versions. We will need the ECU returned and the loom will need 8 additional wires from the oil control valves and VVT sensors running back to the ECU.We can do the remaining wiring and mapping. It is also better to use the new age crank trigger pulley as this has a better tooth pattern but this is not essential. You can use either manifold as we can mod the ecu to control either air by-pass valve also.
