Rear Diff seized on My Wagon?
Any advice for a newbie to Subaru, I have a 99 classic turbo wagon uk car.
Bought the car last week and dove 60 miles home and then reversed into my garage.
Tried to move the car today and the nearside rear wheel is siezed and will not move so much so that it leaves a 3 foot black tyre mark on the floor.
My first thought was sticking rear caliper but checked and removed pads and checked piston and handbrake and all fine.
The other rear wheel will rotate freely but the nearside will only move about 1 inch and is very solid.
The car drove perfectly before so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My initial thought would be rear diff siezed or broken.
I am planning to remove the drive shaft to allow me to move the car, will it drive with 3 drive shafts connected or is best to push it out and get it recovered to a local garage.
Any advice please....
