rejioned the fold but !!!!!!!!!!
hi all nice to be back.
i haave the my51 bugeye wrx and i have problems with the car already
long story short was told the telephone mask was at fault but i now have a car that will not start.
Q1 does the keypad red light flash when you press it.
Q2 is there anyone who can send me the wireing diagram so i can cut it out if needed.
if i turn the key the dash lights up but not start when i try if i press the alam fob (a subaru one) nothing happens i haave a battery in the key fob and it opens the car doorbut still no start.
any help would be very needed so the wife stops crying ...not joking.
thanks in advance. rikki

so going by this my car was registered on the 9/2001 and
All vehicles that passed through the import centre from January 2001 are equipped with the latest receiver boards that are “Tetra Resistant” and so should not experience this problem.
so it cant be that then ?
a few hours on here and i have learnt so much many thanks guys and girls
like i said i think i have run out of options apart from letting subaru take care of it

If you have a few hours to spend this covers most problems with the sigma
http://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/96215...s/page__st__60 When you unlock you car sit in it and try the key if you get nothing press the fob again and see if the red light next to your clock flashes if it does it should be disarmed.

nothing happens when i press anything but
i will add that once the car battery was reconnected by the rac the siren sounds four times then no more.
what i meen by this is once the car had been locked up for a few hours i took a look at it i opened the door and expected the alarm to sound but nothing, i then opened the bonnet and still nothing and until i disconnect the battery and then reconnect the battery the alarm does not work
another thing i found wierd is that if i disconnect the battery the siren stops then reconnect it starts up again(in real time)
tested the car battery and it was at 12.7 volts so in the morning i will try my only hope of not going to subaru
fingers crossed
atleast the misses has calmed down poor girl

if u know the code override for the alarm when you get in the car you put the key in the car without turning it.
Enter the code - you'll get a red flash for each digit you enter. The car will then arm and then you enter the code again and the car will disarm - once done, you can turn the key and it should start
Had similar issues and the keypad only gives issues if you turn the key before entering the code.
Failing that - sometimes you may find that you can use the key fob whilst in the car even if it didn't work whilst outside.
If your fob is dud - you can do a search for the Sigma manual on here and then re-pair your fob with the alarm unit.
thanks
