Removal of the under bonnet components is no problem (esspecialy with the lump out any way), the gas will need discharging properly/legally.
The removal of the matrix on the other hand...
As it is located behind the glove box area it may incur an extra hour or two labour costs.
Weight loss is slight, but every little helps.

With the engine out it'll be easier to get at the aircon rad which sits in front of the coolant rad, but the rest is quite accessible with the engine in.

tbh the removal of the gas/liquid should be free matey they will be selling it to someone else anyway and thats where they will make money on it

if they say that they want paying for it then tell them to give you 5 mins drive the car outside the work shop and crack one of the connectors so that it dumps to atmosphere, dont stand over it and breath it in and dont hold your hand there in all honesty the amount you are releasing will make bugger all diff to the world pollution

I've left the matrix in mine. The rest took about 40 min to remove. I can't see it costing any more than an hours labour mate.

no just leave it alone unless your using it to rally in ..or take your spare wheell out and carry a can as this wheel is about 18 times more heavy than your air con rad that you can pick up with your piggy finger!

the matrix it self will obviously cost to be removed as others have replied about 1hrs work on average, but when it comes to the gas/liquid that the system is filled with well thats a different story matey, the gas is what you would get charged for if your system needed filling.

so you are giving them gas that is worth money to them they will resell that gas on to joe ponter at a later date hench making money on it for free, tbh it takes 5mins for a decent machine to empty the system, so if they suggest that they will want paying to drain the system then as ive suggested ask them to wait drive out of the garage and crack one of the connections open so the gas vents to atmosphere, they then havnt made money of you TWICE for draining the system
