Default Please help - non starter (intermitant)

Hi all, I have been having an intermitant misfire and have checked the coilpacks, plugs, cam and crank position sensor and all seem fine.

The car is 95 WRX with FMIC, 440s, 3 bar map sensor, full decat, K&N induction kit and remap with an ESL daughterboard courtesy of JGM.

Yesterday morning the car wouldn't start and by the time the RAC man arrive it was fine . This morning it did the same but I noticed that the CEL light was not on, the car turned over but no attempt to start. When I left the ign on with teh CEL off, relays all over the car were clicking on and off - under the dash, by the suspension strut, under the inlet manifold, in the main fuse box and the fans were clicking round in time with the relays clicking.

I had to go to work but when I got back I tried to start the car but no CEL lioght and no start BUT after a couple of churns the CEL lit and the car tried to start. CEL went off again and nothing so ign off back on and the CEL lit and the car started and is now fine - till tomorrow??? (did smell petroly?? but that could be due to the trying to start)

I have checked all connectors that I can reach inc the ECU connectors but all seems OK, I am at a loss

Please Help

Do you have a turbo timer fitted? If so, maybe worth checking the connections.
