Default too much boost?

hi lads, just a quick question. i have a uk turbowagon my96. fitted a boost gauge and took for a blast to see what boost im getting and its boosting up to 15psi? this isnt right for a uk wagon is it? done a fair bit of reading other posts etc and see people talking about 1.1 bar etc which is equal to 11psi i take it? so im boosting at 1.5 bar? checked for leaks to hoses etc and dont see any obvious signs of a leak? whats going on here? sorry if its been asked/answered before but its bugging me why its boosting so high. cheers brad.

15 psi is just over 1 bar of boost. 1 bar is approximately 14.5 psi. I wouldn't be too worried about that level of boost. Doesn't sound too wrong.
