Wiper washer dont work?
Hi Guys
My front wipers jet dont work. I can't hear the pump. So i bought a replacement and it still does not work. The back one works fine. I have checked fuses and they are all ok.
My rear screen de mister does not work either could this be part and parcel or is it a totally separate issue?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Fuses first: you need to identify which fuse protects the circuits not working. Failing a manual, ask on here. Mine is a 98 saloon, so MAY be different.
And yes, the stalk could be faulty on one set of contacts.
Forgot to say: test BOTH pumps by splashing the wires directly across the battery for a couple of seconds. DO NOT run for long dry.
Right, been out fopr a look: fuse is No 15, third from left, bottom row on the fusebox INSIDE the car.
It also controls wipers, front and rear.

I'll have to check the stalk next

Get a couple of short bits of wire, bare both ends of each. Fasten one end of each round the terminals of the pump.
Now touch one to battery earth and the other BRIEFLY to battery +ve, to see if the pump runs.
It's a way of seeing if the pump is actually OK before going on with the wiring.
