hi guys fitting my new front mount at the weekend just want to know if i can still run the standard rec valve ? its a version 2 sti

yes you can, or alternatively you can run without any dump valve.

cheers fella is there any advantage to not runing the rec valve or dump valve

Coming from a VTA, DV'less seems smoother and more responsive on the gear change.
And with right induction mods it makes a wicked noise, which is a pleasing change from Psssssssssssss!

i must admit im not a massive fan of the waaaaatisssssssss sound which is why i fitted the standard valve back in over the dump valve the car came with im interested to see what it will sound of go like with no valve in it

TD05s are pretty tough turbo's but I'd still be a bit wary of running without a dump valve. It can only increase the wear rate on the bearings. I'm running no DV on a 321T but that's a different ball game

think im going to stick with the standard valve, will be looking to fit a ESL live board later on in the year
