Default Exhaust\turbo help 1994 classic

HELP!! I can't seem to get my exhaust to fit!!!

Only had the car a couple of weeks and when i bought it the centre section was hitting the prop centre bearing and no matter how i adjusted it, it was no better, unfortunately the cat decided to snap yesterday and i had to change it for the de-cat pipe i was given with the car.

After fitting the exhaust no longer hits the centre bearing but the de-cat pipe now hits the gearbox crossmember!!

I have no-idea on what system is fitted

However it sounds good and loud

Im after a good system that will fit with no "Tweaks required!!

Also the turbo is blowing on the clamp between the Bearing\exhaust chambers is it worth trying to repair or just replace?

thanks in advance

Also the lambda sensor doesn't fit, so i have left it disconnected and no probs at mo, but it does spool up a lot quicker!!!

There should be a bracket that comes from the down pipe and bolts into the gearbox casing to give support guidance. This is obviously not the case for you. On my system it is welded to the d/p so you should be able to see where it was and fit a new one.

Sounds like you need to have a very careful look around at what you have bought. Make sure all is tight and working correctly, perhaps have a good mechanic or specialist take a look if your not to au fait.

The lambda sensor is located in the drivers side header, easily seen from above or below.
I think you may be referring to the Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor located in the d/p. If so then as you now have no cat, then you need no EGT (or Cat On Fire COF sensor)

If it is the ETG then no problem, just leave disconnected.
FYI, if it is the Lambda, problems. The car will be running very very rich. Continued use could result in fouled plugs/misfires/worse. It will also cause bore wash, which will contaminate and thin your oil.
So factor in at least a full service after you've sorted the rest of the bits.
