is this a standard ECU?
Are you after a Ecutek out of interest? I have one for sale with Ecutek license and my car with supporting mods ran over 400bhp.
Your need the ECU matched to the keys which any mapper can do. And they may require a extra fee to remap to your set up at present but works out cheaper than paying for the Ecutek license from new which is £600+ etc.
Pm me if your interested.
Here's my project thread showing what power levels the ECU took etc.

hi steves thanks for the reply, reason i ask is having recently purchased a car it was reported to have Motec M800 ecu, when i checked i found the denso unit but i suspect its just the metal denso outer casing and the ecu has physically been replaced, the seal on the metal casing was croken suggesting it had been open.
Motec M800 have gold chassis if its standalone or you have fitted just PnP board in your OE chassis.
Second question,you are running Mafless?
Third option will be if you visit your nearest Subaru dealer or Subaru Specialist, which will tell you,if is there fitted aftermarket ECU.

hi jura, there is no gold box, i suspect it is the M800 OEM plug and play ECU in the OEM chassis, it must be aftermarket if it was running 1.6 bar previous to my rebuild right?
it is not running mafless either?

Hi Jura,
the white bit in the ECU looks identical to the below

it also has a black plug like the one in the pic coming off further up the loom, that is not a standard lead is it?
thanks again for your help!

No this is not standard lead, this is probably lead for programing/mapping ECU known as CAN
Probably you have fitted in OEM case M800 PnP,some companies doing same like SimTek,Syvecs etc.
