Default Difference between Newage & Classic Downpipe

What is the difference between a classic & JDM 2002 newage downpipe, also how do you identify each other?

I was told that the Lamda sensor port is more closer to the flange on a classic & the newage one a few inches further?

Hi there
difference between the downpipes is as you are said in Lambda sensor port(Classic have generally near mount flange,New age have on other side, near the end of DP),second difference is(or on some),on Classic DP is mounting bracket, here is picture

But if you are thinking fit Classic DP on Newage, yes you can fit without problem, will fit.

I know that they will fit however fitting a newage exhaust with a classic DP would result in a issue such as the tail pipe sticking out & vice versa.

I am trying to figure out if the DP on Spec C is a classic one or newage.

I have before fitted exhaust from Classic and has been OK,tail pipe don't sticking out or has been too inside.

But if you want fit exhaust from New age to Classic, tail pipe will be sticking out little bit more.

Best will be if you are post picture.

I think your right ive just read that jdms stayed with the classic type for longer as they didn't have the same emission controls as the uk.

Thanks Jura. Currently dont have a picture but the plan is to fit a Blitz Nur Spec onto my bugeye but I am not sure if it will fit as its off a classic. So far i think my DP is like a classic one.

I've before full exhaust from Classic fitted on mine wagon and has been fitted without problem(just one hanger on back box doesn't fit properly).
Really don't worry will fit without the problem.

If you get the down pipe and centre section from a classic shape it will fit the newage cars, although if you are using the backbox from a classic car the hangers will be in the wrong place.

Sounds good. I love the Blitz & second choice would be the H&S. However if it can be fitted without the rear box looking out of propotion then its live.
