Default Will pink sti 550 injectors fit a 99 RB5

Hi Guys

Looking at upgrading a few bits on my RB5. I need to know if the sti pink 550cc injectors from a 2004 JDM STI are a stright swop onto my RB5. I also need to know if they are easy to change.

I won't be putting them on till I get a remap but I don't want to try and fit them the day before and find they don't fit.

Cheers

No, Newage are top feed and i think yours are side feed, so pretty sure they wont fit unless you get a fuel rail adapter

If I had £600 to spend on injectors this would be my 1st port of call but my budget is alot less.

if 320 is not enough, then you could buy 550 phase 2 injectors 2nd hand, usually find some on here,go for around 200-250ish.

Pinks are around £100 that's why I thought I would upgrade mine if they fitted. I can go abit more on the budget but not £600

I am looking at getting a VF28 or VF34/35 + a few other mods to take the power upto around 330-340. I don't want to go any higher as my engine & box might not take it.

I will look out for a set of 550 phase 2 injectors.

Cheers bud

Ignore the above mate. If you are looking for no more than 340ish stick to the standard 440cc.

I have 440cc with NO aftermarket fpr and have recently had a power run of 340 before my map tweak ;-)

My next step is larger injectors but that's because I'm fitting a fmic and want too make the most of things.

340 in a classic makes an awesome road car with a vf34 ;-)

most mappers will tell you that above 320 it is adviseable to change them.

Why not get your std injectors modified to a higher cc at lateral?

Thanks guys for all your help

When I speak to my mapper I will see what he thinks. I might only go upto 320 to be on the safe side.

WOW 830cc That's a big jump. I will never have to upgrade them again.

It's a good option.

Thanks

tbh it wouldnt really be worth doing at that level of tune, the car would be far better off with 550s.

Thanks Maz for the info

That's good power with those mods. I would love a VF34 but they are rare and pricey now so looking at a Vf28 as they are quite cheap and make good power.

Looks like I will stay with the standard injectors for now.

Speak to mark at lateral as I think what he said to me when I spoke to him that 830 was the max and that he can change them to lower specs.
