Its the take-off for the dump-valve from the FMIC pipe-work. The seal has failed and it spat the dump-valve across the engine bay mid-overtake

It seems to have been held with some sort of sticky substance, rather than solder or weld.

Tiger seal would probably work. Excellent stuff but dont get it anywhere you dont want it its a nightmare to get off. Once set it is impossible to seperate parts i sealed a hole in my boat with this stuff and boat still hasnt sunk lol.

Sounds promising, thanks. I see you're from the Aberdeen area aswell. Any idea if there's somewhere local that stocks it? Would save the wait for postage.

Any decent car-paints seller, bodyshop.

It also goes under the name of Sika-flex.

Or nip to a car windscreen place and ask them for a smear of windscreen glue, it's polyurethane and nowt will shift it, bar cutting it.

Ross - currently back in India so sadly can't help

I'd use Devcon as it is a metal based filler as I don't know how Tiger seal will cope with the charge temps (worst case = 50 degrees C) but it's worht a try as I can't get the4 Devcon to you for another 4 weeks.
