Turbo 2000 ppp ecu swap for map?
Hi,
Im looking at swapping my ecu from a PPP ecu to a standard ecu to get mapped. My car is a 98 S Turbo 2000. Is it as simple as remove ppp ecu and replace with standard? What problems are there with the alarm or imobiliser?
Any advise would be great? Thanks

if this is a ver 5 uk car with sigma alarm then as far as i know absoloutley none , direct swap as the PPP ecu is basically an ecutek ecu just running a different map to support the other changes accompanying the PPP and it is badged with the SP label , so to swap out for a std ecu is ok.

all depends if its an MY99 or MY98 car you have - where is the coil pack located on inlet? dead centre (MY98) or offset on No.4 inlet manifold pipe (MY99)
MY98 have immobiliser in ECU so aint a straight swap
MY99 as already said is a direct swap
MY99 cars are from Sept 1998 - Sept 1999
