Question Busy day today, need some advice...

Morning all,

I've got a busy day today, i'm fitting my 3 Port EBCS, larger turbo (18g), uppipe and wideband...

As I'm removing the turbo, can I pull my old catted uppipe throught the top of the engine or should i still take it out from the bottom (and remove engine mounts etc..). Also i've read that you need to remove the heat shield from the manifold (which also involves removing the front o2 sensor) to access the bolts for the uppipe, can this be avoided removing the uppipe from the top?

Cheers

Ben

Cheers for the reply.

Are the manifold heat shields a pita to remove like the turbo heatshield? I don't have access to a o2 sensor spanner, should i be able to remove the sensor without one?

you should get it out without one, and yes all the heatshields can be a nightmare, soak in wd40 as soon as poss but i have always had to grind the bolts, i hate heatshields

Hopefully, that's what keeping me motivated!

Does the heat shield on the manifold cover up the bolts that connect the uppipe then?
