Default turbo engine swap?????

Hi all, its been a while since i been on here since i sold my scooby a while back.

I used to have a 1998 scooby impreza non turbo ej20. lovely car but not quick enough, anyway cut a long story short, after 4 cars since i have been looking at a subaru impreza uk turbo model with a completly seized engine which is going cheap.

I was wondering how much roughly to stick another lump in and how much it would cost, engine + labour wise. i know there was someone on here who was very gd at it and cheap but cant remember his name for the life of me .

any help would greatly be appreciated.

You would be able to get a second hand engine fitted for a few hundred i would think but you will never know the history of it. To have an engine built for you may be a couple of K or there abouts for a simple build and £3-4k for one which will take a few more horses
Depends where you are in the country for the builder. There are plenty out there with good reps.
