Default big end problem

hi i need some help with my new car a subaru wrx 2004 bought it from a garage in chesham 2 weeks ago only done 600 miles in the 2 weeks and the big end has gone. can i make any claim against the garage im sick and need some advice please

by law you should recive a 1 month or 1000 mile warranty or a 3000 mile/90 day warranty what was the deal when you brought it ?

not sure but that sounds promising does that apply to all second hand cars also should i contact anyone ie citizens advice bureau

Hi, I looked at their webpage and it appears they offer a 3 month warranty on all vehicles sold. See attached. Hope it works out for ya



Warranty Cover

Through our warranty handling company A1 Approved Warranties Pinegarage offers a standard three month warranty. This is inclusive in the display price of all our vehicles. Pinegarage can extend the warranty for an additonal period of time if requested.

What is covered by by our standard warranty:
Component Cover:
The following components are covered against Mechanical Breakdown (as defined elsewhere in this document) of those items listed below. Please note that parts not listed are specifically excluded.

Engine
Big end bearings, con rods, crankshafts, camshaft, cam followers, cylinder bores, cylinder head (excluding cracks), distributer drive, flywheel, main bearings, inlet valves, exhaust valves, valve guides, pistons and rings, tappet gear, timing gears, chains, starter ring gear, oil pump, gudgeon pins, small end bearings, valve springs, valve collets, rocker shafts, all internal bushings, Excluding lubricants and filter elements.

I know how you feel mate. I've not even done 2000 miles in mine yet and the big ends have started to knock. Mine was from a private buyer so I'm stuffed. Sti 8 block soon.

S 600 MILES FROM THE GARAGE SO I DONT WANT TO TAKE IT BACK TO THEM WITHOUT BEEN SURE THEY WILL FIX IT FOR ME AND THEY WONT ANSWER THE PHONE

Dude I live and work in Paris, Drop me a PM if there is anything I can do. If you can find an engine in Ireland or the UK my mate can drop it to France for free...hows that!
