Default stopping subs sliding around...

what do you guys do for this? I am thinking getting velcro and using strips of 2 hook type pieces sewed back to back. although i am dubious of how effective this will be...

If possible you really want to get it bolted down secure. In a high impact accident it could fly through from the rear and do serious damage.

that was a concern of mine at first as I have seen accident video's of things like that happening, but I have noticed that the rear seats aren't fold down, so i feel a little safer on that front. plus they will definitely be removed when I intend to drive ultra-quick (track days).

does the velcro idea sound any good? or, I have seen that sticky mat stuff, not sure how effective that would be against 2 carpeted surfaces.

Best way is to strap them to the rear seat brackets behind the carpet.

Dont think you need to worry a huge amount in a saloon car as like you said, the seats dont fold down.

In previous install I have used velcro strips which work a treat, another one i did I also made a MDF false floor which was raised up a couple of inches, and then screwed the box down in place.

I've used Velcro strips in all my cars and work really well......unless your really hammering it round a corner it can split
