Default fuel pump question

Pretty sure my fuel pump is broke car wont start and no smell of petrol plus cant hear the pump buzzin on ignition.

Any info on how to check relay an fuse incase its them an not the pump??

Go to the pump terminals under the back seat, under the cover, and use a multimeter/circuit tester to check for a live.

Its a 96 wrx import is the fuel pump located under the back seat?

you get to it through the boot and its to the drivers side, i gotta 97 import had same problems, but mine started working again after the hammer and a bit of fiddling! Been told that the wiring can get hot and then when it cools down it can damage the wiring, not sure how true this is tho mate

Cheers mate i couldnt find it the other day but il go in thru the boot this time..il try that circuit test first to see wats goin on wiith it and then il know whether r not to order a new pump

might as well gett a walbro pump there only bout 40quid ish if yours has given up

Fold the rear seat down. The pump is hidden under a plate. Drivers side.

40 quid where you getting them prices from mine cost me 80 quid delivered and that was the cheapest!!!!!!!

Sorry meant second hand.. seen a few for 30quid walbro 255 from cars being broken. Cheap n cheerful replacement it would seem..

Ok got cover off and circuit tester..what now?lol i see fuel lines and a plug? How do i test this thing??

turn ignition on and test for live on ig on and both cranking the key , as 1 relay gives live to prime system the other takes over for cranking and when engine is running . you can test pump by connecting a live from battery to pump conection on pump end of connector after removing from cars loom if it works you will hear the pump buzzing

The pump works took it out and wired it to battery it pumpin away...Whats the plan of action now then??

I want to test the plug goin to the pump but dunno how??

Checked exterior and interior fuses all ok..i think it could be my immobiliser there some aftermarket one on it anyone no how i turn it off??
