Default Remap and general advice please!!

Hi guys ive got a wrx sti import and bottom end went so replaced with sti type r closed deck engine, already had an sti type R turbo on the wrx engine the car when i bought the new type r engine.

Im scared of driving it now before its mapped i live in nottinghamshire mansfield anyone give me advice on what else i should add to car and where to map it? ive gotta full blitz nurpsec turbo back exhaust, rest of engine is standard i believe. Walbro fuel pump maybe???

Any help really appreciated as im new on here!

Walbro fuel pump, front mount intercooler.. depends on your budget.

what year is it? as options for remap will vary with year

yeah im bidding on a fuel pump walbro 255 on ebay now mate.
Just checked and i got a vf22 turbo which is diff . its a 1997 import. Im just after a safe ish map with what ever power gains i get a bonus.

Oh, 97 ecu not mappable, needs a replqcement like simtek, apexi et c

hmm well the person before me said he had it remapped to the wrx turbo and got it de-restricted as well? but im not aware that it has a different ecu how could he map it then?

Sellers say a lot of things.

Post a picture of the ecu.

I assume coilpack is in the middle of the engine?

Looked at a 'Prodrive' packed car the other day, lucky I have the ability to log the map to see if it is prodrive or not. It wasn't!

yep coil pack is in middle yes. where do i find the ecu i take it its in th engine bay?

Yep sit and pass seat and stetch feet out and toes are on kick plate cover, 3boltd and one nut to undo to see ecu

ok i will have a look either in bout an hour or tomorro afternoon, what should i be looking for on the ecu to show that it isnt a standard one?

So there is the ecu and a siemans box which im not sure of what it controls maybe something to do with alarm? not too sure. Anyone know then if this is standard ecu or aftermarket one etc?
