Question

I heard a while ago that SM were producing smaller versions of the lambda/knock "link" modules. Has anybody bought either of these and if so do you have any piccies please?
Cheers.

Don't think so. I'd heard that they were making smaller versions of the Link knock and lambda display boxes.
Clearly I need to lay off the meths a bit.....

Mike T had said sometime last year that they were making one with remote LEDs, however this is pretty straight forward to achieve yourself.

Open up the box(es) make some holes ala the leds in the fascia or wherever and mount the plate to inside lining up leds with holes

Edited to say that I've not done it myself but there can't be much more to it!

Done the above with a KL on an MY01.

Will fit nicely in the plastic instrument surround with the LED's just sticking out just above the central tachometer (STI RA MY01).

Will post pics as soon as I have had them taken.

It certainly could be; are they home made or supplied by someone? I assume they are just a remote display to the actual Link boxes?

Sam

I thought "Dr John Banks" made them? You can maybe try him.

Not me. I forwarded the pictures to someone from someone (can't remember!) but I thought they were Scoobymania? It is easy to relocated LEDs, but putting them in an enclosure that sexy is beyond me It took me a few attempts to drill three holes in plastic for the dash in a straight line - give me 10 and I would keel over!

Plantie's picture is of our knock and lambda remote displays.

They are available now. Theer is still a main "gubbins" box, and these are remote mounted away from it and are much easier to find a spot for without being obtrusive.

There is also an audio add-on unit for the knock, which sounds (for 2 seconds IIRC) when the Big Red flashes.

Knock unit is circa £135.00 Lambda circa £95.00

Mike.
