Default Head unit help needed.. :(

I took delivery of my blobeye a few weeks ago with this monstrosity fitted..

i removed it tonight thanks to help from a guy who posted in the interior section (ian milford ).. the plan was to fit my own kenwood unit along with a genuine subaru DIN pocket... i'm now left with this..

just doesn't look right and i can't work out how the DIN cage is going to be held in? is the cubby hole in the right position? worth noting that the butcheress bell-end who owned the car before me hacked away at the fascia to force that double DIN screen to fit.. currently looking for a new one... any help with this appreciated..

see as you look in the space you see a plate to the left with 3 holes in it thats the cage should be the same on the right side take the facia off you will see black screws holding the brackets in place take them off and screw them to your kenwood then put the black screws back on

when you put your stereo in mind and wire the power antenna wire to the blue wire off the iso connector or you will get a crappy radio signal

that's great, yes i had to take that cage out completely to remove the 7" unit so i roughly know what you're saying.. do i still use a cage though or screw directly to the new head unit? also, is the cubby hole in the right place? i.e the bottom slot?

No horror stories. If you recall in answer to a previous post I mentioned that I thought it had been for sale for a while. I nearly went to look at it, but got one in Leeds in the end.

Hope its Ok and you are having fun......looked really nice from the pics in the ad.
