Advice on headers and remap
Hi
Iv got a sti v3 with a downpipe and a exhaust system, im after a after market unequal length manifold and upipe which are the well knowns makes?
also i have bought a apexi and walbro as im intending to get it mapped so was wondering will it be ok to get it mapped with the oem headers or will make it restrictive as im aiming around 350 bhp

Speak to Harvey Smith, he posts as harvey, on here.
He can either fit a set of ported headers, exchange, or port yours, or sell you a decent set of headers. He wil also recommend an up-pipe.
He WILL need to know what other mods you have, what turbo you are running and what you want to achieve.
Speaking to him will get you loads of info, plus the parts/fitting at decent prices, plus, he WON'T let you spend on stuff you either don't need, or that will spoil the performance of the car.
Headers/uppipe/turbo are a minefield if you don't know enough.
Harvey also runs mapping weekends where you book a slot and Bob Rawle maps the car for you.

Ring me Saturday during the day or Monday day time. 07860 302020 and I will talk it through with you. I need to know your relevant spec. Are you running the original turbo for starters?
To get the best out of your car/map you need the car mapped in the final spec you intend to run. You cannot map on original headers and then change to tubular, that would be very foolish just like you cannot map the car and then change the fuel pump and expect to get the best out of the car.
