Default Engine change

Got a uk 2000 turbo. P reg 1997.

Got it with the bottom end knocking. Got a second hand bottom end rebuilt the heads and had them skimmed. 108miles later it started knocking and thats without push the engine hard. some say this is very comman?

So been and found a new second hand engine with so say low miles to dump in for now untill i rebuild my bottom end. and use my old rebuilt heads. Just want to know if this engine will fit really? are the inlet manifold bolts in a strate line on this style as mine is with strate holes?

This engine is from a K reg!

any info would be great cheers!

Yes, just swap all your manifolds etc over, this is a phase 1 engine, yours is a 1.5, the long engine is essentially the same.......Andy
