HI I HAVE A 1999 UK TURBO IT HAD A SMALL OIL LEAK FROM OIL FEED PIPE TO TURBO,,I GOT NEW ONE AND REPLACED IT ,,I TOOK OFF INTERCOOLER AND THE HEAT SHIELD TO DO SO,,I PUT ALL BACK TOGETHER AND NOW IT FEEL TURBO NOT WORKING AND A WHISTLE WEIRD NOSE WHEN TRYS TO BOOST NO TURBO POWER,,,ANY IDEAS

 

IT IDLES FINE AND FEEL REV FINE BUT DO SOME TIME HEAR THE NOISE ,,

 

Check all pipework that you took off as it seems you may have a leak somewhere

 

sounds like youve missed a boost pipe some where or one is loose check and double check everything

 

AND STOP SHOUTING.............

 

i took all off and put back on still does same ,,there bit oil in the intercooler but car drove and turbo fine wit leaky pipe but since put new one on it makes weird noise and like turbo not working correctly

 

You havent tightened to much have you? This might be starving the turbo

 

never thought off that to tight i try that

 

hi just stripped all back down and i ended up taken out turbo so see if this was prob and when took out turbo fans at both side had mega play in them,,do you think with me fixing the leak oil feeed pipe to turbo the pressure to much for the worm turbo and the noise i hear is the fins rubbing off inside ,,,as said took out and mega play
