6 speed clutch in a 5 speed car???

6 speed clutch in a 5 speed car???
Ive been told by a reliable source thats its possible to fit a 6 speed clutch in a 5 speed car with the correct 6 speed flywheel,what i wasnt told and want to know is,does this include different models of cars.Basicly can you fit a 6 speed clutch and flywheel from a newage sti in a 5 speed classic sti without any issues,anyone done this or know if its true and can be done.

you can yes,but the ribs in the bell housing need trimming back,done one a few year ago to a mates car ,might still have some pics before/after done bout 55k running around 370bhp with no issues

oh if i remember correctly there is a tin metal weather shield type plate at the bottom that covers that cut out a the bottom of the bell housing just remove that as think the flywheel teeth just made contact with it.....
