Default head gasket bottom end refresh

bought the misses a my95 wrx with electrical problems, sorted all them but found head gaskets gone. while ive got engine out doing them and mew oil pump is it worth putting a new set of big ends and mains in? thanks

Yes - you will probably find that the big ends are bruised/almost through to the copper on the upper rod bearing so a wise move to freshen up the engine while its out.

Its been known that once the head gasket is fixed, the extra compression finishes the bearings off for good. So i would deffo do the bottom end aswell.

Small ends dont normally wear too much but can be rebushed if necc or upgrade to some STi 7 onwards bolt type rods.
