Every time I put my foot and change gear the car just cuts out, straight after I change gear, nothing violent, just as soon as I put my foot down afternoon changed gear then nothing! Put my foot down in third coming of a round about and all of a sudden it just cut out again, this time as if it was overboosting! (violent like my head was going to hit the steering wheel) the car is fine at idle, no missing at all through the revs, only when I put my foot down hard it acts up, car is a 93 wrx ra, standard boost, decat centre section, and green panel filter!
Any help greatly appreciated!

Does sound a lot like boost cut, have you got a boost gauge? What does it show?

Just under a bar, bout 11 psi roughly, it's only started really since I put new coil packs on there!

 

Then it's not boost cut! If it is since the change of coil packs then one or more of those is likely to be the cause. Can you change back to the originals?

 

Nah they were in a real bad way, one had a couple of cracks in it and 2 had no ends left, how it even run is baffling! I never really raged it before then tho, was to nervous because I'd never had a 4wd, I keep meaning to check for any boost creep!
