Is the system fully decatted or do you still have the oe centre section & STD cat
Under hard acceleration it should be more of a rumble than a whistle providing it is a full .

I have got standard cats and centre exhaust. The whistle does seem to go after a couple of seconds i was wondering because i brought the back box second hand.

maybe the whistle is the turbo spooling up. to get a nice loud grumble you need a full decat from turbo back.

Nothing at all to do with 2nd hand , i bought a vortex for my mate off tazz 2 weeks ago and it sounds like thunder ,but it dont pop like my vortex does due to him having the std cat fitted. As said above probably turbo whistle momentarily .
