Default What is an uppipe?

Hi all, currently have an Apexi Exhaust fitted and I want to replace the downpipe with a sports cat and replace the headers to standard ones which have been ported.

I keep hearing headers and uppipe though? Maybe a stupid question but hey if you don't ask you don't learn stuff, but what is the up-pipe and where about is it fitted?

the up-pipe connects onto the turbo inlet & the exhaust manifold (headers)

if the up-pipe is correct then the exhaust gasses from the engine hit the turbo at maximum efficiency........which spins the turbo faster ........which forces more fuel and air into the engine = more power and torque
