Default DEGREASING AND CLEANING THE ENGINE

I WANT TO CLEAN THE ENGINE I HEARD TO USE GUNK AND TO WARM THE CAR UP ABIT BUT I ALSO HEARD TO COVER A FEW BITS OF THE ENGINE SO THEY DONT GET WET BUT I DONT KNOW WHICH BITS. THATS WEAR U GUYS COME IN CHEERS

I used tcut on the bonnet after ripping off the sound proofing.

To do the horrible bits on the engine i used wheel cleaner. Obviously, spray on to cloth first.

It's not easy and it takes forecver but had no problems afterwards.

I used a spray on gunk on my gsi cavalier, countless problems afterwards. Elbow grease is the way forward imo

A good stiff 1" paint brush get your self some decent traffic film remover water it down if needed remove what you can, pinch the missus tooth brush and scrub away, after a few hours of back breaking pain I start the motor and jet wash the crap away making sure no water can get inside the motor.
But as dbay say allot easier with the motor out
