What one of the quick shift levers would you recomend? I was quoted 400 quid from T&C aberdeen to get the prodrive version supplied and fitted, yet scoobyworld supply B&M for 138 + vat. There is not much in the kit so they should be easy enough to fit, anyone diy fitted this before?
Thanks

Cheers for that
That what I thought. 30 mins and the job should be done. Now time to get in contact with scoobyworld to order the lever.
200 quid to fit a prodrive quick shift. I dont think so.

Scooby_si will let you know how easy they are to fit after I have done mine. I would imagine that there is not a great deal of difference between scoobs of different years. Will probably need a large hammer, brute force and ignorance or a subaru mechanic

Guys..... they are piece of pi$$ to fit...
If I remember right you need an 8mm and a mallet.
Should take you no more than 10 minutes to fit.
I used to have Prodrive Q/S but went to a BRD one after
Prodrive's is good but the BRD is even better IMHO and the best I have ever tried. Andy Tang used to have it in his car, Topcat = moe has it in his.... superb product. I think it costs around £170
Have a word with Steve Lawson if you dont want to fit it... It wont cost a lot at all... and definatley no where near 200

Infinity,
On the MY99, you need to remove the plastic cover under the handbrake lever first; that allows you to then take-off the plastic cover surrounding the gear stick.
Obviously, you need to remove the gear **** first.
Here's some pics (Prodrive one) that'll hopefully show you what I mean:-
Pop the caps and remove the two screws. That'll allow you to remove the plastic cover around the handbrake. Be careful with the wiring for the electric windows. Disconnect them and the whole thing will lift out of the way.
Then gently pull up on the plastic cover around the gear lever. The whole thing is just snapped in place.
This should give you full access to the gear surround.
If you want, you could remove the whole centre console and avoid scratching any of the plastic as you fit the new q/shift.
Hope this helps,
Stefan

Is there any chance we could incorporate your guide into our "how to fit" section we're currently writing?
I'm sure we could offer you something in return?
thanks

Si....
Steve Lawson is one of the best Subaru guys out there... he looks after the majority of Surrey/Berkshire boys! Very good at doing everything and has so much experience it would take a very experienced Subaru mechanic to come near him...
Mail me and I'll give you his number....
BRD = BR Developments.... You will see there add banner on Scoobynet a lot... (might even be on this page now... look up)
You may of heard of Bob Rawle??? He does all the link mapping... it's his company + Branco. Andy Tang works there too.
BRD Q/S - Great product... about £175 I think... even better than Prodrive one.. even shorter throw...

Neil,
Sorry for not replying sooner. Feel free to use the pics in any way you want m8. It'll only cost you a set of Defi guages
Don't think I'd be selling my soul if they were used for a good cause
