Question Inlet manifold

Has anyone on here spun the inlet manifold the other way round? Know what it is involved to do so? I am asuming that it will need to be cut and turned as the bolt holes another bits around it wont line up if it was just sprun around.Plus other people would have done it. As i see doing this will cut heat soak down a fair bit. I know it need a FMIC. Plus it would cut down the pipe work a bit as well. i was toying with the idea of turning the front mount upside, i have done this in the past on a 200sx, it brought the turbo in 400-500 rpm quicker.

Its a 1995 wrx. I was going to poss cut a hole near the lights to feed the pipes up. But any pics you have would be good then i can get a rough idea from them.

So i take it you cut the manifold some where? Move the throttle cable and few other bits and bobs.lol But that is what want i to achieve. did you notice any gain from it on charge temps?

On your 95 you would need to weld up the throttle body opening and manufacture a plate, cut and weld that for the throttle on the front of the manifold. Not worth it for the small amount of pipe reduction IMO.

The V5 onwards are pretty straight forwards as you can literally turn them round without much fuss.

Lol oh well. that will be a bit of a mission then. looks like i will have to wrap everything up that gets hot then. easier and cheaper way of getting rid of some heat soak.

thanks for the replys tho. I will def be interested in the pics of your Fmic turned upside down tho.
