Pleasure to be here.

I collected my 2002 WRX yesterday and is going like a dream. The car had been pretty much stood at the dealer for a month and not ran before I picked her up. Last night I decided to put her through the paces and enjoyed every second. Early on during my outing at 70mph the engine management light flashed up for a brief second and went straight out. I slowed right down as a precautuon. Noticed no signs of preblems since and the light has not returned and I have had her out today.

Could this just be because she has not been used for a while?

Any ideas or advice?

I had the exact same thing happen a couple of days ago. Unfortunately today mine has come on permanently so I'm not sure if they're related. I'm predicting this car to be expensive.

 

I'm not going to take any chances , demanding a diagnostic check tomorrow at the garage.
Have you noticed any problems , performance decrease, signs of mechanical problems ?

 

No change at all but I have only driven it for a mile since it came on.
