Default Fitting emergency handles?

Hi all,

I need to fit two Lifeline pull handles on the exterior of the car for a plumbed in extinguisher and a battery cut off.

Seems the usual place to fit these are the near side scuttle panel.

Just wondering what the easiest way to do this actually is, or if anyone can suggest a better place to install them?

Does the bonnet need to come off? Had a look last night, lifting up the plastic scuttle panel, and it looks like it'll be bloody tight to get a spanner in to do up the nut on the pull handles. Also, the rigid part of them seems pretty long, so am hoping they'll fit!

Here's on of the handles:

Thanks
