Default HELP squealing noise

On my 01 bugeye wrx it's developed an anoying squealing noise . It happens whenever I pull away at very slow speeds and whenever I let the car coast to a stop without using the brakes . It sounds like brake squeal but the noise goes away whenever I apply pressure to the brake pedal. The noise seems to come from the rear of the car . Does anyone have any idea as to what it could be ? Discs and pads were all replaced middle of las t year . Any help will be very apreciated

i would say its the rear brake pads m8, as you say it goes away when you press the the pedal.

maybe one of the calipers is in need of a refurb, or a strip and clean

I recon its the rear brake shoes for the hand brake, is the handbrake really tight ? if so just lossen it a lil with the adjuster or take to a garge to do it for you, to check if it is this while driving very slowly pull the hand brake up just a lil and the squeak should stop, then when you release the hand brake it may come back or resolve the issue.
