Default Refurbing wheels

Is it possible to refurb alloys using rattle cans or would it not last. Has any one tried it before?

It'll last just fine as long as you take your time and do it properly.

Do multiple thin coats rather than fully spraying in one go, don't let each coat fully dry before the next coat so the paint has something to stick to.

If you try do it in one hit your bound to end up with the paint running and it becomes a chore if that happens.

Will be doing mine in the summer, going from gold to anthracite/ gunmetal grey.

What paint would be appropriate for refurbishing wheels this way?

How do mean what paint?

Any colour automotive paint will be fine. The same paint used on panels. Theres a huge rangeto choose from at Halfords or find the colour you want, find out the paint code and take it to a paint factors.

If you can try and get an attachment that uses a lever like spray guns which attaches to the top of the spray can, gives a bit more control with spraying but down to personal preference in the end.

chocolate_o_brian on here did some off a Pug 205 1.9 GTi, in white.

They looked pretty good and were still good when he swapped it.
