Default Engine Blown - Help

Hi there guys/Gals

3 weeks ago my car had the sounds that every car owner dreads, rattling - Knocking

Now looking for an engine rebuilder - or engine to fit in my WRX 2002 Bugeye.

Engine number is: EJ205NW4BB

Whats the best option in this situation, theres a lot of rebuilders out there - but who to trust thats the question.

I intend to repair and keep as i love the car - so anyhelp would be great.

xxxx - Thanks

Everything depends on damage, and from this will be price,i will recommend contact him.
I was at same position like you(mine radiator has been damaged badly) and pay for recovery track(£100 from Heathrow),because Neil get me best price here...
Second hand engine is big risk....

Really i don't know without stripping, but i think at region £1.5-£2k maybe less, but this price will be Drive In and Drive Out(including oil, gaskets etc). But i think everyone you tell without stripping don't tell you exactly how much.

i'll put my money on stew at tfs racing in camberley surrey doing it.

hes a member on here i think but also on surrey scoobies!?

dr-frankin-stew on surrey scoobies.

http://www.tfsracing.co.uk/Home_of_TFS_Racing.html

that is the website, he is quick and also has the ability to colllect your car i think on a truck?

may as well go uprated if your pulling the engine, so for 3k i reckon a built bottom end could be feasable!

There isn’t any in SE London as such subaru specific, I used to be in forest hill. Depending work required a basic rebuild, new crank, bearings, gaskets, etc will set you back £2000-£2500.00.

In terms of engine build work, im booked for around 5-6 weeks, your next closes I would think is FB or TFS.

If you need any help in the mean time determining the problem, feel free to call.

Cheers
