hi got a jdm96 wrx power steering pump developed a leak, purchased second hand square type as was advised that the seals are better. fitted it and power steering works fine but sometimes when fluid is warm it develops a slight squeek. worse then that not all the time but at least once a journey it sounds as though the alternator is dipping in power my headlights and fans pulse. could the power steering pump be at fault or could it be an alternator fault. has anybody else experienced thids pulsing power? any help appreciated don`t want to purchase new pump then find it was the alternator and vice versa
